Here where Leucosia siren Lived (current Isola di Licosa) where the Greeks and Roman chosed to live, just a few metres from the natural
harbour Greek Roman, there is "La Corallina" hotel. in the early years on the 1900 La Corallina was cellar and tavern for sailors.
In the mid century the Rizzo family (Iovo and Elvira) transformed the tavern into a hotel restaurant, now Restore.
It's a wonderful historic house hotel.
BOAT the Corallina
Traditional boat for coral fishing of the 15th century, wholly decked with the access on the hold from three hatches.
The “ingegno”, made by two wood boards placed in a x-shape, was used to tore out the coral from the sea bottom, and from
the edges of this cross some nets dangled to collect the coral. The piece was hold by a long rope and was driven by a hoist.
